How to Choose the Right StarryHub Core Series for Your Meeting Needs

Introduction

In the modern hybrid work environment, seamless and immersive video meetings are no longer a nice-to-have — they’re essential for effective collaboration. The StarryHub Core Series is designed to meet this need with an all-in-one approach that simplifies deployment while improving meeting reliability and user experience.

With multiple models available, including Core20, Core30, and Core50, choosing the right solution for different meeting spaces can be challenging when upgrading or standardizing conference rooms across an organization.

In practice, the decision goes beyond room size. Room layout, how people interact during meetings, and overall communication style all play an important role in determining the right setup. Different teams work in different ways, and those patterns directly impact which configuration delivers the best results.

This guide will help you evaluate the StarryHub Core Series from three key perspectives — room size, use case, and system capabilities — so you can choose the right solution for your team.

1. The Core Experience: One Hub for Modern Meetings

Every StarryHub Core model includes a high-performance camera, a 360° microphone array, and speakers in one device.

After placing it at the front of the meeting room or beside a display, the conferencing system is ready to use.

Inside, StarryOS 6.0 uses built-in AI to manage framing, audio pickup, and meeting presentation automatically.

People who are speaking remain clearly visible, and remote participants can follow the conversation more naturally.

Core 20: Compact All-in-One Meeting Solution

StarryHub Core 20 is an ideal choice for small meeting spaces. It delivers 4K AI ultra-wide video capability with a 123° field of view and a 360° audio pickup range, making it well-suited for scenarios that require clear communication and fast deployment.

  • Small collaboration spaces: Perfect for 2–6 person huddle rooms, enabling full audio and video coverage within compact environments.

  • Daily team meetings: Designed for team discussions, quick syncs, and lightweight presentations, ensuring both in-room and remote participants stay clearly connected.

Core 20 supports plug-and-play deployment and can be connected directly to a display via HDMI while running StarryOS 6.0, with no external computer required.

It is compatible with mainstream conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, allowing users to start meetings quickly without complex setup.

Core 30: Enhanced Clarity for Growing Teams

StarryHub Core 30 is built for medium meeting rooms where people sit farther from the camera and microphone. It adds better video, wider audio coverage, and more ways for teams to share content during meetings.

  • Clear Video Throughout The Room: A dual-camera system uses CZUR PureMirror 2.0 to merge a wide room view with a zoomed view of distant speakers into one image.

  • Clear Audio For Larger Groups: An 8-12 meter microphone array picks up voices across the room, while CZUR PureVoice 3.0 keeps speaker volume more even.

  • More People Can Present: Up to nine wireless screens can be shared at once through common casting methods, so participants do not have to wait their turn.

Two HDMI 2.1 outputs allow separate displays for shared content and participant views. This gives both screens a clear purpose during meetings.

Core 30 runs StarryOS 6.0, so the interface and meeting experience stay the same across different room sizes. The system works the same whether it is installed in one meeting room or many.

Core 50: Built for Smart Collaboration

StarryHub Core 50 works best in meeting rooms where presentations, discussions, and group activities happen in the same session.

  • Adapts As The Room Changes: Speaker tracking and dynamic framing adjust the camera automatically as different people speak and move around the room.

  • More Than Meeting Controls: The integrated 10.1-inch touchscreen with stylus support gives participants space to write, sketch, annotate, and manage the meeting.

The audio system uses two 10 W speakers, with processing that keeps voices clear when conversations overlap.

Core 50 is built for meetings where people are expected to contribute instead of simply joining the call.

2. Essential Accessories for a Complete Core Setup

Core20 and Core30 support several optional accessories that extend the meeting experience. TouchBoard, WritePad, ClickDrop, and the Keyboard are optional purchases and are not supplied as standard.

  • TouchBoard: TouchBoard controls StarryOS through touch, gestures, and keyboard input. Users can move around the interface, open apps, switch inputs, adjust volume, and operate presentations without relying on a conventional remote.

  • WritePad: WritePad adds handwriting and annotation to meetings. It can be used to write notes, highlight content, and work through ideas together during presentations and whiteboard sessions.

  • ClickDrop: ClickDrop brings BYOM (Bring Your Own Meeting) support to the room. A connected laptop can use the Core device's camera, microphones, and speakers while meetings continue in the user's preferred conferencing application.

  • Keyboard: There’s also a standard keyboard if you just want something basic without the bells and whistles. It’s useful for logging in, entering meeting information, searching content, and everyday navigation within StarryOS.
